Perspective

As a Christian who is fascinated by astronomy and cosmology, I've long understood that the harder we try to imagine the vastness of the universe, the more impossible that becomes--and the more our sense of wonder is stirred. Whether we're searching for the cause of the Big Bang or scratching our heads over the weird behavior of elementary particles, the more we learn, the less we know. And if that's not proof of God's existence, I sure don't know what would be.

This excellent and educational Flash animation from Nikon will make you go Wow.

I'm with you there, Brenda. Whenever I think about the vastness of space...or, in the opposite direction, the teeny-tiny particles that make up everything around us and are so interrelated...I can see God. How others can't, I don't know.

Even watching the Discovery Health channel, when they talk about diseases...missing just one enzyme can wreak total havoc on a human being and affect so many different parts. How could the human body, so complex and intricate, so balanced and ideal for the world in which it lives, be something that randomly occurred? I just don't believe it.

I see the hand of God everywhere I turn.

Thanks for the link. It was fascinating. And overwhelming.
