Love by the numbers

Just like the rest of us, math nerds need a little romance in their lives. Check out this love song for math majors, sung a cappella by The Klein Four Group--which includes five guys, and wouldn't you think a bunch of Northwestern University math maniacs would know the difference? Very entertaininging, even if you don't get all the jokes. The title alone cracks me up: "A Finite Simple Group (of Order Two)."

If you're on dial-up and don't have all day to wait for the video to load, you can read the lyrics here.

I've been felled by another migraine, so just in case I'm not back tomorrow: Have a great weekend, everyone. Wear your bike helmets, even on those short rides.

Okay, I'm no math expert so the jokes, for the most part, went right over my head. However, I am a musician and I loved their harmonies. Thought it was great and very entertaining. Especially the fact that they are University math students!! :-) Great rhythm too!

Thanks Brenda for sharing! I hope your headache goes away so you can enjoy the weekend. I'll say a prayer for healing.

Loved the link. Thanks! And my prayers for your healing go out too.

I thought you might be interested in this book review.

Trudy J. Morgan-Cole is a friend of mine, also a writer. I was amused that she accidentally took your Read a Romance challenge. LOL. Who knew that entry would have such longlasting effects?

I can't get over the fact that there are people in the world who actually like math ;o) lol.

Hope your migraine goes away quickly. I hate getting those myself, and know what it's like.

The great thing about blogging is you find you're not alone. YOu're one of three on my blogroll who have migraines. (I also have them.) I take three aspirin at the first sign of one, and it helps to ward them off, sometimes. I read about this. It keeps the blood vessels that usually constrict during a migraine from doing that. You have to take the aspirin before the pain gets too bad, or the vomiting starts.

What a fun video. Those math guys were great. :)
Sorry to hear about the migraine: take something and lay down where it is very dark and very quiet. :)

Friends, I appreciate your prayers more than I can say. The migraine's gone now, thanks be to God and the inventors of Imitrex!

Katrina, thanks for the link. A lot of people don't realize that once you post something on the internet, it's pretty much out there forever. After a year and a half of blogging, I'm quite used to seeing people sift through my old posts. Yet I'm often surprised at what they drag out.
