NRJW: worth paying for?

My local public radio station had yet another pledge drive last weekend, during which an annoyingly cheerful announcer tried to guilt listeners into paying for the shows they were enjoying. "Do your part," the guy urged. "Is it fair to expect other people to pick up the tab for your favorite shows?"

I've been blogging my heart out for 3-1/2 years and nobody has ever paid me a penny. Just now I thought about billing you longtime readers, but I quickly discovered I don't have the nerve to charge for the kind of stuff you get here:

So if you enjoy this blog, maybe you could just tell a couple of friends about it. I still won't make any money, but I'll soak up the extra attention and feel special. And won't that make you feel good?

I've been enjoying your blog for a while (and I tried to send this question as an e-mail, but it "bounced" saying your inbox was full), and wanted to know if you can add a search bar to your site.

I was wanting to reference the post you did on "loyalty" (finishing a book because you started it), but couldn't remember when it was posted to look it up via the archives.

Anyway, I'm very glad your blog is free ;o)

Amy, I don't know why you got a bounce message because I did get your e-mail--and answered it just now.

And thanks for saying nice stuff about my blog.

That's right neighborly of you, Tina. Thank you.

Robin, you know I've said before that the comments on this blog are often way more entertaining than the posts.

Cute blog! It made me smile... I'd call that "inspirational!"
