Want to quit writing? Here's help!

Are you sorry you participated in NaNoWriMo this past November? Are you sick and tired of getting rejection letters in answer to every query you send to agents and editors? Are you toying with the idea of deleting MS Word and all those pesky .doc files from your hard drive?

Fiction writers often say that anyone who can stop writing should stop. That's because the business of writing novels and submitting them to agents and editors can rip your heart out of your body and stomp that sucker flat. But help is now available for those who can't take one more rejection and who would dearly love to quit--if only they knew how to get started: Simply purchase The Stop Writing in 2008 wall calendar from 101 Reasons to Stop Writing.

It’s time to shut down your word processor and throw a match into your Bottom Drawer, because the first ever 101 Reasons to Stop Writing Calendar is now available! Twelve months of stunning photographs juxtaposed with the painful truth about writing, as only 101 Reasons can deliver.

Yes, now you can chart your progress as you slowly wind down your writing output to zero; find inspiration to lead a more active and fulfilling life, in the images of the world beyond the page; and feel your inner Muse wither to nothing as you come to accept that you will probably never be this funny.

Just be careful with the calendar and with the 101 Reasons to Stop Writing website. Too much demotivation could backfire and leave you itching to write.

Funny stuff. I'm afraid it would start working after a while or start ticking me off - like that family member you all have who has as much faith in you getting published as he does seeing pigs fly during his lifetime. I'll probably pass. ;)

I can only take that blog in small doses, but sometimes it's hilarious.
