In the garden: brunnera

Aren't these precious? (Precious. Now there's a word you'll never see on a guy's blog.) The flat little blooms are no more than a quarter-inch across. This is brunnera, the ground cover that is now starting to fill in some big bare patches in my front garden with clouds of tiny blue flowers floating above bouquets of heart-shaped leaves.

If you decide to grow this, watch out. It's wickedly invasive. But the sweet little flowers will give you six weeks of enjoyment every spring.

Shelley, I do have an embarrassment of riches. At this time of year, everything's popping at once!
