Snowy Saturday

I'm working on a book today, and between paragraphs I'm enjoying this heavy snowfall from one of my office windows. The flakes are about the size of quarters. (Click on the pic to enlarge it.)

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Hi Brenda,
I just finished a manuscript today and so am taking a moment to visit your blog.
The snow reminds me so much of Maine, sitting at my computer and watching a snow fall through the window.
Here in Holland it's gray and rainy and wind...always wind.

What a beautiful picture. It's cold and very frosty here today in the Channel Islands but sunny and pretty to look at.

Very nice picture! Also wanted to say how much I enjoyed "A Season of Forgiveness." Loved the cover too!

Robin, I'm glad you enjoyed the book. Thanks for letting me know.

Debs, I adore frosty days with crystal-clear skies.

Ruth, it's always good to hear from you. Congratulations on getting another book out the door!

Wow, Channel Islands, cool!

It's frosty here now, as well. The wind chill must be down in the single digits.

I just noticed your snowy photograph goes well with your book cover--Season of Forgiveness. (I've ordered it but it'll be waiting for me in the States till my next visit, this summer hopefully).

Yes, your window does go very well with your book cover. And I love the inviting warm glow of the lamp.

I have a window in my (closet-sized) writing office. However, my view is quite a bit different. The only flakes are inside the cereal boxes. My grass is green and the bradford pear trees still have green leaves.

I'm not worried. The first day of winter isn't until December 21. We still have time for it to turn cold.

I'm jealous! My part of the country (central Texas) doesn't get much snow! Hard for a Buffalo, NY girl to handle at this time of year! haha Can't wait to read about your next project!

Hello Brenda! I really enjoyed A SEASON OF FORGIVENESS !! You're a talented author! :) Enjoy the snow!! Unfortunately here in Georgia we hardly EVER get any snow (south of Atlanta) and when we get a few flakes it's a really big deal! Merry Christmas to you and your family. Blessings,
Patti Moore

Beautiful picture, Brenda. Your home looks sooooo homey and inviting. I'm crazy jealous about the snow. It's snowed within a few miles of our home a couple of times, but not here. I guess I should be thankful, as last year our pipes froze...but I'm dreaming of a white Christmas!

Ruth and Domino, I didn't realize that the photo "matched" my bookcover. How fun.

Laurel, AT HIS COMMAND will be a September 2008 release (although it'll be available to some people nearly two months before then). It'll be a very patriotic book and will address different kinds of heroism. I'll be talking about it here on the blog in a few months, so stay tuned!

Patti, you're very sweet. I'm glad you enjoyed my book. I had a lovely Christmas, thanks. I hope you had a great one, also.

Paul and Becky, I'm glad you liked the photo. Our snow melted for Christmas, but we got another nice blanket of the stuff yesterday. Last night I looked out the window and it wasn't snowing, it was glittering--the temperature was so low that the flakes were tiny and sparkly. Too bad you can't take a good picture of that!

So cozy. I see you're keeping a plant alive. :-)

African violets are about the only plants I can keep alive. I have three that I water about every other week. And if I forget and it's three weeks, they seem to forgive me. When I notice a plant hasn't bloomed in the past month, I jab a couple of houseplant spikes in the dirt and sit back to wait. My African violets bloom often and profusely. Go figure, Julana!
