I made it to 50,029 -- on the 27th. Woo for me. The bad news? I don't like the story... well, actually, I don't like my heroine. Loved the hero, so I'm going to find him a new lady and try again.

Still, it's never a waste of time to write. I love doing NaNo, this is my second year doing it (and winning both times) and I'll do it again next year.

It's a blast!

I have completed my fourth NaNo with 69,837 words and just two chapters to go before I have a complete first draft. It was a great experience, slightly different kind of novel than what I usually write so I learned a lot from the process, and am looking forward to getting back to this one and editing it before pitching it somewhere.

Congrats to everyone who gave it a shot!

I didn't make the 50 000 word count, however I did manage to write the words "the end".

NaNo was a great experience, but the rush to complete did not allow the time I needed to fully develop my characters and their motivations.

After a short break, I'll definitely go back and rewrite it - giving it the justice it deserves.

I'm thinking novel writing is not for me. I lost steam, and had just a couple of people encouraging me, so nope. I failed, again. I hit the 15,000 mark last night, though.

My first try at NaNo for me with just under 7,000 words. It was exhilarating but more biographical than novel. I did enjoy the process. Discipline seems to be my problem, alas. I may have a book in me, but it may never get out.

I got involved in doing a MS rewrite with someone that helping me seek representation, so that work didn't count!
