For love of that little gold box

Why do I write? Not for money or fame. Not even to satisfy my creative urges. I write because my sister sends me a box of Godiva chocolates every time I sell a book.

I sold my third romance novel a couple of months ago, but only recently finished revising it. The manuscript was packed off to my editor last Friday; my Godivas arrived yesterday.

In a little while I'm going to steep a pot of fragrant Earl Gray tea, select one or two pieces of chocolate art, and think nice thoughts about my sister as I enjoy her gift.

Thank you, Skeezicks. Again.

I'm glad God invented sisters. :)

And happy "done with revisions, it's off" chocolatey celebrations.

The old adage is true that everyone has a "price."

Congratulation on the sale AND the revisions!

I love Earl Gray. What is your favorite brand? Congratulations. I'm not sure if I'm more envious of the sale or the Godiva. Hmmmmmm I think the Godiva....

I'm feeling a little like that puppy in the experiment where the scientist rang a bell every time he fed the pup. After a while, the puppy's saliva glands would begin working any time it heard a bell ring. (I think that's how the story goes). Anyways, all that to say that my mouth started watering the minute I saw that picture! LOL! Wish I had a sister. :-) However, I would brew a pot of coffee to go with those. YUM.

Enjoy both the chocolates and the sale! May there be many more Godiva's in your future!

Blessings,
Shauna

I would probably have coffee with those, too. However, right now I'd settle for selling another book or two (or three, or fifty)!

BTW, Brenda...off topic, but I have to thank you indirectly--when I do my blog site counter, the people who come to my blog seem to come from yours more than any other place. So we got something good going on here!

Thanks again,
Janny

Thanks, everyone.

Lori, I recommend Twinings Earl Gray. Skip the teabags and buy the loose stuff. (If you don't know how to make a pot of tea, check out my page on that.)

Janny, I'm glad you're getting some traffic from here.

You are blessed two ways: new novel published/finished & your sister! Very blessed.
