Autumn colors

After a week away, I arrived home to find half the leaves gone from my beloved red maple tree. This photo is not color-enhanced--the sun was shining from the left side of the picture, making the leaves glow against the background of blue sky and cottonball clouds.

Here you can see the delightful mess the maple leaves are making among the red roses, yellow mums, and white Japanese anemones in the front garden.
