Little things that make me smile

It's a dreary end-of-winter Saturday afternoon, and I've finally found a use for the tiny cobalt blue glass bowl my husband brought home a couple of months ago. At two inches in diameter and 1-1/2 inches deep, the bowl is too large to be a salt dish and too small to be a punch cup. But whatever it was meant to be, I think it makes an adorable holder for my snazzy paperclips.

I've seen one of those bowls with a tiny candle in it. The little fat ones that you can buy in six-packs in Walmart or Target

Good guess. But it's too small and not deep enough for a votive candle or even the little ones they call "tea light" candles.

Really! The picture must be deceiving to the size of it!

Hey! You changed your picture...How cute are you!

Yeah, Bonnie, the photo is much larger than the real thing.

And yes, I was tired of looking at that old picture of me, so the other day I held my camera at arm's length and snapped a new photo.

Striped paperclips are fun enough to make anyone smile. What a cute idea!
