Fantastic pictures. I had seen the link on Moleskinerie, but hadn't bothered to click through until I read your post. Lovely pictures -- something a little bit Dali about some of them.
Dare I suggest a slight rewrite of the Safire quote (normally I have no time for people who try to rewrite quotes they have no business rewriting, but I'm going to allow an exception for myself just this once ...)

Speaking of nice pictures, Neal, I just saw one of yours over at The Moleskinerie. I remember seeing that one before and telling you how much I admired your use of color.
Indeed you did Brenda. The one that I posted before was just the initial sketch, and I went on and did a couple of paintings based on it. The link at Moleskinerie is to an article I wrote describing the whole process, which was something that I'd wanted to do for quite a while.
