One year ago today, I became a blogger by posting the following:
It's the day after Christmas, and I am goofing off.
I'm not entirely certain where I'm headed with this blog. I'm not going to make any promises, but since I practically live on the internet and since I have recently acquired a Nikon CoolPix (a digital camera that's way smarter than me) maybe we can have a little fun here. Maybe I'll end up posting regularly and maybe once in a while I'll even manage to write something witty or profoundly insightful. You never know.
During the past year, this blog's readers and commenters have made me laugh and made me think. Friends, your enthusiastic participation in my blogging experiment has been a huge factor in its success. Because of you, I'm still eager to log on to the internet every day and hunt for something new to blog about. Thanks for giving me so much to celebrate!
