I'm hoping to finish my Christmas shopping today. And I'm begging those of you who finished
your shopping weeks ago not to post comments here bragging about that fact. I'm under enough pressure as it is.
Here's my Number One Son standing in front of our Christmas tree just minutes before chopping it down last Sunday afternoon. He's inspecting a bird's nest he found snuggled between the branches.

We aren't even close yet. I always get a bad case of agoraphobia around this time of year... all those crazy last-minute shoppers give me the heebie jeebies.
Of course, if I wasn't such a procrastinator, I'd be done by now, and then I wouldn't be one of those crazy last-minute shoppers, but logic in practice never seems to work for me.
Ah well, in the words of the Great Philosopher: "Git R Done." [sorry, I couldn't resist... temporary holiday insanity *bwahahaaahaaa*]
That's your son? No way! That's surely your husband.
We found a bird's nest one year in the tree when we UNdecorated it. We were so charmed that we kept it, and every year the bird's nest is the first "ornament" we put on.
Believe me, a bird's nest is better that a live squirrel...after the tree is in the house.
And the shopping thing....no mine isn't done, but that's because I don't do ANY AT ALL!!!! We gave up the present thing years ago and just enjoy Christmas for Jesus' birthday. We even have a cake for Him. My favorite kind, of course.
It makes for a way relaxing time!
Gorgeous tree! Well, what little I can see of it looks gorgeous.
I'm just as bad. We got our shopping and wrapping done tonight. You are not alone. Let us come and procrastinate together.
Camy
one year we had a nest of ladybugs in our tree and were constantly finding them everywhere for the next couple of months.
