The annual RWA conference averages over 2,000 attendees, and it can be a little difficult for friends to find each other in the crowd. But if you see this white tote bag, you'll have found me. Please say hi. I'll reward you with a pretty purple pen and maybe even a hug and some chocolate.
I'll be hammering out my schedule in the next few days, so if you're going to Reno and would like to get together for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or coffee, give me a shout and maybe we can put something together:
mail(at)brendacoulter.com
At this point I'm thinking about taking my computer and live-blogging the conference. But I'm not sure how many of you are either RWA members who won't be going or Interested Others who are curious about what goes on at writers' conferences. I'd appreciate some feedback on that so I can decide whether to lug this seven-pound laptop computer with me. Would you like to read about what I'm doing at the conference, or should I just take a five-day vacation from this blog?

I would definitely be curious to hear about what goes on at an RWA conference. I am thinking about joining myself, so it would be nice to get the inside scoop. Sort of like Jann Carl on ET reporting from the Oscars! :-)
I agree with Kristin. To get a participant's real-time perspective would be great!
Brenda, you know that I can't go a whole week without reading your blog, hope you have a good time,
and a safe trip! I got kin folk
in Reno ;-D

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE live blog. PLLLLLEASSSSSEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is that enthusiastic enough of a vote? :)
BTW, I'm coveting those purple pens. Is there a way I can bribe you into letting me have one or two?

Mir, stop slobbering on my feet--this is embarassing! ;-)
Thanks for commenting, everyone. I guess I'll go ahead and take my computer to Reno....
Anyone who isn't going to the RWA conference but who would like a snazzy purple pen can e-mail me and give me a U.S. mailing address. (I apologize to those of you who live outside the U.S., but I'm just not able to make lots of extra trips to the post office and fill out foreign-mail forms right now. Hope you understand.)
By the way, I won't keep your addresses. I'll scribble 'em on envelopes and then delete your e-mails.
I think you should give yourself a vacation from blogging, BUT, if you post about the conference I will read it : )
Um, you probably deserve a vacation from blogging... but um, I'm addicted to your blog! I would also love to hear about nationals. I know a lot of people going.
Oh! oh! off to email you... I wanna pen. ;-)
Snazzy purple pens are now in the mail to everyone who requested one. Thanks for your interest, friends.
Sometime this summer, I think I'm going to take a week off from blogging and just rerun some old posts. Either that or bribe Number One Son to blogsit....
Hey that's a great light bulb;-D
get #1 son to do it, I miss reading his blog!

I've just started reading your blog today, but I would be very interested to hear what is going on at the RWA conference. :-)
Thanks, Valmarie. I'll be blogging from Reno beginning late Wednesday afternoon.
