Bubbles in the backyard with Ian on a sunny afternoon

Here's why I left you hanging at the end of my earlier post: my Number Two Son, who next weekend will become a high-school graduate, was willing to go outside and play with me. It's a beautiful day in our neighborhood, 76 degrees under a perfect blue and white sky, so we gathered up my camera and three bottles of soap bubbles and headed out to the back yard.

Blogging is a lot of fun, but it's nothing compared to blowing bubbles with my kid.

As you look at these photos, be sure to think of Louis Armstrong and hum "What a Wonderful World." That's what I did.

And I say to myself, what a wonderful world.

Robin, I'm glad to see you went with the classy hat.

Aww, Tristan. I hate it that you say "your backyard" now instead of "our backyard." But I guess you had to move away before your father and I got tired of you. ;-)

I still have one bottle of bubbles left if you want to play next week.

What is it about bubbles? I can cheer myself up doing the dishes by slamming the washing up bottle down and watching the bubbles shoot out the top. :o)

Gorgeous photos.

My grown son now calls it our "our" back yard as well, but I think that's because he never wants to mow it again. LOL

Keris, I love making "hand bubbles" at the kitchen sink. I make an "OK" sign with my finger and thumb and then dip my hand in the soapy dishwater. My kitchen window always has little smudges on it because that's where the bubbles crash.
