The search engines send a lot of traffic to my website, and I always get a kick out of perusing my referrer logs to see what search strings people entered that made Google or Yahoo or MSN send them to my site. Every day there are five or six queries that either make me smile or cause me to shake my head in wonder. These are from yesterday:
The answer to this person's question is, "Not nearly as much as you're hoping. Sorry."
Here's another question along those same lines. While it made me chuckle, I definitely like this dreamer's style. (Don't I just wish, sweetie. Two weeks paid vacation and dental insurance would be awfully nice, too. )
And then there was this, which sounds suspiciously like one of the experiements I did with my boys years ago. (Sorry, kid. I can't imagine why Google sent you to my "afternoon tea" pages for this information, but I wish you all the best with your science report.)

Speaking of searches, did you know that you can search this blog? Yep. Don't use the Blogger search tool (the little white box) at the top of this page; it's practically useless. I've been getting some excellent results from Technorati, so yesterday I added their searchbar to my blog. Look over in the right column and scroll down a little. It works great, whether your trying to find something on my blog or someone else's. Try it!

LOL You're the only other blogger I know that checks their referrer logs. I love doing this. I'm shocked on some of the places people come from though. LOL

Chris, welcome to the Dark Side. It's about time you joined us.
You'll have to install a "counter" on your blog. This usually involves adding a line or two of code, but it's not tricky. There are several good services that are free. A lot of people use Webalizer or SiteMeter, but the one I like best is StatCounter.
As soon as you install the code you'll be up and running, and you'll be able to find out all sorts of juicy details about the people who come to your site.
