Still missing E. B. White

E. B. White has long been one of my literary heroes. It wasn't Charlotte's Web that snagged me, but the essays and articles I began reading as a teenager. Now twenty years after "Andy" White's death, stepson Roger Angell remembers him in The New Yorker. It's a White-worthy piece. Don't miss it.

And speaking of magazine articles (well, we were, sort of), if you've ever wanted to try your hand at that kind of writing you may be interested to know author and Howard Publishing editor Terry Whalin has begun a series of "how to" posts on that topic over at his excellent blog. Check it out.

I second that, Brenda. I'm a huge fan of Terry Whalin's site. It's like he's reading my mind, along with all the other reading he does.
