I was tweaking the template for this blog when my computer shut down. I came back and was appalled to find that good ol' glitchy Blogger saved my site in the wrong template, which has had the effect of zapping all of my previous modifications, including links and quotes and so on.
(Sigh.)
No, I didn't have a backup file. Yes, go ahead and laugh at me.
Guess what I'll be working on this afternoon?

Well, it wasn't the end of the world, after all. I stopped pulling out my hair when I remembered that I could always copy the Google cache of my site.
It's all pieced back togeher now. And yes, I saved a backup this time.
Now I'm sorry I mentioned it. I bet I could have convinced those of you who stopped by here in the past couple of hours that you were just seeing things....
Guessing...guessing...guessing. Nope, I just can't come up with anything! Congrats for that ingeneous idea, though. I'd never have thought of that.
Robin, I realize we just met, but I hope you'll forgive me for correcting you. Socks do not disappear in the dryer. They change colors in the dryer. If you put in one pair of black socks and one pair of brown ones, you can pretty much count on one of the black socks turning, say, pink. And one of the brown socks will almost certainly turn, for instance, blue.
I believe this is a marketing strategy dreamed up by manufacturers who want us to buy more socks, more often.
Thanks for your kind words about my writing. I love the title of your blog, so I'm going to go check it out right now. Thanks for posting here.
