A couple of days before Christmas we had a heavy snowfall followed by a severe ice storm that knocked out our power for a full day. While I fed wood to the ravenous fireplace in our living room my husband set up a camp stove in the kitchen and made tea. This photo, which I took on Christmas Day, shows some iced rose hips on a trellis in our back yard. (Click on the photo to enlarge.)
