It's a photo of my first book, with me standing beside it. ;-) The picture was taken by Steeple Hill author Mae Nunn at the Harlequin offices (in New York City) somewhere around the end of July 2003. It was my first visit to my editors' offices, and while I was pretty laid back about the whole first-book thing, I was not prepared for the emotion that assailed me when I walked into the reception area at Harlequin Enterprises and saw my little book on display. I almost choked up. The book had been out for a month and I'd even done two booksignings, but for some reason, that moment in the Harlequin offices was when the whole "being published" thing became real to me. Mae was there and had a camera. I don't particularly like the photograph, but I keep it on my desk as a wonderful memento of that day.

Jaynie, people who use fountain pens are always wild for good paper to write on. I wish you could feel how my favorite pen glides across the pages of this journal.Brenda Coulterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13528691681455659296noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9791523.post-1112689285603859502005-04-05T04:21:00.000-04:002005-04-05T04:21:00.000-04:00The flowers are nice but my eyes keep going to you...The flowers are nice but my eyes keep going to your lovely journal *sigh*.
